Veruska Cantelli, Dancer was born in Rome, Italy and moved to NYC in 1993. She has studied theatre and dance at Nassau Community College, Hunter College (BA Liberal Arts), the Mary Anthony Dance Studio and the Trisha Brown Dance Studio. She has worked with Human Kinetics since 2003. She is also a PhD student in Comparative Literature, currently writing her dissertation on storytelling and women's autobiographies, and teaches Comparative Literature at Queens College. Lately she worked as a producer in a documentary on an orphanage caught in the struggle of the coca war in Bolivia.
Elisama Colon, Dancer. After she received her BFA in theatre from Columbus State University in Georgia, Elisama Colon moved to NYC. During her studies she practiced Luigi Dance as well as Period dance. She has studied a physical form of theatre called Suzuki. She is currently in the pursuit of art therapy. Elisama has worked with human kinetics movement arts since 2007.
Grace Eichinger, Dancer is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and The Boston Conservatory. She currently performs with Chris Ferris & Dancers, Labor Force Dances, Notes in Motion, and Human Kinetics Movement Arts. She has also had the pleasure of working with Elojes Dance Theater, Kirsten Young, Kaysie Seitz, and Colin Huggins.
Akiko Bo Nishijima, Dancer is a choreographer, dancer, teacher of the Alexander technique. Her works have been presented in Movement Research at Judson Church, Dixon Place, d.u.m.b.o. dance festival, Philadelphia, as well as France and Japan. She is a faculty member and one of the founders of "Hot Summer in Kyoto", an International dance & workshop festival in Kyoto.
Eva Perrotta, Dancer. Born in France, she spent few years in Argentina, before coming to New York to complete her studies at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance five years ago. She has a background in theater, and modern dance. Eva is an independent dancer and choreographer, working with collaborators from different backgrounds.
Kristina Skovby, Dancer is a performance artist and choreographer from Denmark. She enjoys both the individual creation process as does she feed immensely of collaborations with others, performance artists and artists of different media alike. New York is with its beautiful diversity and strong energy an equally great inspiration to her work.
Hiroko Yanagawa, Dancer had danced with the Akiko Kanda Dance Company in Japan, then came to NY in 2002, where she has danced with the Marie-Christine Giordano Dance Co, the Martha Graham Ensemble and numerous choreographers. It has been a pleasure for Hiroko to work with Yana and the company.
